L’ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels, the Paris-based School of Jewelry Arts, announces the opening of registration for its Dubai campus classes and workshops.
Following great success in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and New York, the nomadic campus will be located at Hai d3, in the Dubai Design District, from the 7th to the 25th of November 2017, marking the first visit of L’ÉCOLE abroad program to the Middle East.
The Dubai edition of the nomadic school will offer 14 adult classes around three broad themes: Savoir-Faire (know-how), Art History of Jewels, and The Universe of Gemstones; as well as five creative workshops for children and adolescents, ages 5 to 16.
L’ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels in Dubai will be participating in “The Year of Giving” as declared by the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. All funds collected from course registrations during the event will be donated to Dubai Cares. Upon registration for the adult classes, students are asked to contribute a minimum donation of AED 400, 100% of which will be donated to Dubai Cares. The creative workshops for children and adolescents are free of charge.
Students are welcome to register via calling the Van Cleef & Arpels hotline (800VANCLEEF (82625333)), or +971 44252740 by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or by visiting the website me.lecolevancleefarpels.com. Classes are limited, so prior registration is essential.
The creative workshops, will offer youth the opportunity to explore the creative professions and world of jewelry design. These workshops will take place through local schools’ collaborations during the week, and will be open to the public during the weekends. Classes are open to everyone, with no prior qualification or experience necessary to enroll.
“L’ÉCOLE’s program for Dubai was built in the desire to give back to the Middle East, to share our knowledge alongside local partners on the fine craftsmanship of jewelry and watchmaking,” said Marie Vallanet-Delhom, President of L’ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels. “We are also excited to be part of the “Year of Giving,” where all funds collected from the course registrations will be donated to Dubai Cares. We invite everyone to participate and explore the world of joaillerie.”
The three-week program will present a full set of classes led by professional jewelers, art historians, gemologists, and watchmakers. The classes will be accompanied with evening conversations, several exhibits and other activities around jewelry.
